Taken in our local swamp rookery. Great Egrets have been the most busy nest building lately.
This rookery is probably may favorite for shooting the Great Egrets. The Cypress are lush and green in the morning light. Because it’s a swamp there are plenty of dark places for catching the stark white birds.
Here the male was making multiple trips to the woods collecting sticks. It was the same flight path each time which made life easier.
