Little Blue Looking For Treasures

Little Blue Looking For Treasures

I don’t know what this slim and feathery wetland plant is but I’m seeing it all around the places we visit. It makes for a great background or covering in photographs though.

The Little Blue Heron in this shot is completely surrounded by it. I get the impression he can see the shallow water well enough to hunt here.

    1. Thanks 😁. As of last December I made a switch to the OM System. Anything on the site prior to that was Canon gear. Most of the wildlife is an OM-1 body with a Leica 100-400 (200-800). Eight years ago we moved to the South Carolina Lowcountry, an area of old cities, swamps, and huge marshes to do full time nature photo. Love your site BTW, I think I’m subscribed but never see any emails.

    2. so a 200 – 800 mm equivaent lens… good to know. I have a 70-300 and a 600 analogue lens that might do the trick. As for the emails, try unsubscribing and re-subscribing… That might help…

    3. Actually I just did that 😁😁. OM Systems, OM-1, is a new MFT sensor. A Leica made for Panasonic is a perfect match for me. I did shoot with a Canon mount 70-300 a few years back and it was good for mid range wildlife. 😁
