The only reason for a Spoonbill to be in this cut is food. The water is bubbling with small fish. The mud is also about knee deep on this bird. Spoonbills don’t like that.
A few times the bird struggled while walking, but that didn’t stop him from continuing to feed.

Sometimes you just have to get those pink feathers a little mucky if you want some lunch.
And sometimes you just need to photograph the muck to get those pink feathers 😁
