There are a series of small islands in this swamp area, each connected by an old wooden bridge or walkway. While there are some rotten boards and railings it’s sturdy and really the only way to get around there anyway.
These were taken as I walked through the area around dawn the other morning.
No sounds, or people besides us.
It looks like you were up early, hopefully the alligators turned over in their beds once again 🙂 by which I mean – hope they were still fast asleep !
They tend to curl up in places unknown, especially this time of year when the weather cools a bit. Cold blooded critters don’t wake early. Of course there are always exception and yes, there are times that place they chose to sleep is right out where you are walking. With luck there’s room to pass by, preferably with a tree trunk between.😂

Thank you very much, greatly appreciated 🙏. It can be hard to shoot in these swamps, everything blends together. They are beautiful, some of the residents can be intimidating. But I’ve never seen a more photogenic place. 😁
