Not sure where their northern range ends. I seem to remember seeing them once in a while up in Connecticut. Never further north though. And yes, lots of shots taken of them LOL.
Thanks. A spot the Little Blues love. Some will stay right there, since swamp water is between us. Their colors only get better as mating season comes along. I think they start April/May. The smaller the wading bird the later they mate. Which is great since we get months of activity in the swamps. Not so great at the end since we also get the bugs, gators and leaves. A trade off.
They are lovely birds, I’d be filling cards of them 😊. Too bad we don’t see them here.
