I doubt this is the same Little Blue every time I pass the ramp, but it is a favorite spot for them.
The colors and shades on these Herons is just too good to pass up. I am however slowing down on how long I hold the button down.

Not sure where their northern range ends. I seem to remember seeing them once in a while up in Connecticut. Never further north though. And yes, lots of shots taken of them LOL.

Thanks. A spot the Little Blues love. Some will stay right there, since swamp water is between us. Their colors only get better as mating season comes along. I think they start April/May. The smaller the wading bird the later they mate. Which is great since we get months of activity in the swamps. Not so great at the end since we also get the bugs, gators and leaves. A trade off.
