That’s a great shot! We have Herons here but I am not sure which species they are. The river Wharfe runs close to my house and one regularly fishes at the bottom of the mill weir. Your shot shows how camouflage works to his advantage. A fine shot indeed!
Thank you 😁. I must say I was pleased with the birds detail. This bird, and one we call the Great Blue Heron are common world wide, especially this one. Chances are it’s one of those two.
