Below are a few marsh photographs taken from a mid day walk. This day wasn’t particularly chilly so from my view point one of the few days to go there.

The patches of reeds and cane were the popular spots. They did provide some protection but not all that much. In the first photo you can see a small group of Snowy and Great Egrets banded together.

At first I didn’t see any Alligators, but it’s winter and no surprise.  However I did finally find one slowly slipping out of the reeds. I would have thought he was in the woodlands along the edge here. Maybe there was just enough sun to lure him out.

The final shot was taken as we left the open area heading back in. This small Snowy sat quietly watching us go by.
