Due to their dark colors these birds are hard to photograph. I’m never surprised when I look at a days work and find the Little Blue shots are not all that good.
This was taken mid morning and came out better than expected. The magenta colors of their neck and head can be seen, even the blue coloring along the beaks.
They like to nest in dense brush so I assume the pair were checking out the local real estate.
