A Snowy Egret with a small, wet, nesting stick. Wading birds in general are not very good at building nests. They are usually small piles of sticks. However at some point I see the males purposely gathering softer wet twigs, so at least they try š„¹.

Thanks. This year has been good for birds. The rookeries were full, though our local one was pretty empty, but others made up for it.
