The water was flowing out if the rice field here through the open dike. This Egret flew low down the fields, the dike and woods behind made a nice contrast with the white bird.
I shot this as wide as possible, pulling the long lens back to capture as much of the scenery as possible.

Thank you very much. I’m not shy about taking more ‘landscape’ wildlife shots. There’s usually plenty of action around us, so if it’s in front of me I pull the trigger 😆😆. Taken at about 100mm.
