Magnolia Plantations has many gardens, and a few ‘old’ gardens. Well, they’re all old, some are maintained like a traditional garden, but a few off the path are a little more ‘rustic’.

Scattered around are old statues. Every once in a while I still find things in the small swamp areas.

This statue is easily seen, yet typically needs some scrubbing. However, you need a boat to get close. It sits on a dry hummock in an overgrown swamp pond.

I think the ‘crust’ gives it some character.
