The pylons and Anhinga photographs keep showing up in the to ‘to do’ list. And… it is an old fashion hand written list on my office pad of paper 😆.
There must be a half dozen sets of pylons scattered across the old rice field here. Better yet they are all blessed each fall with color reflections over the water. The only difference here I see is the Anhinga are replaced by Cormorants at times.

All birds love perches. 🙂
Especially to get dry
Absolutely 🙂
I expected the traditional “my fellow Americans” pose with the wings out whenever I see an Anhinga ha
😁, plenty of those too LOL
Their tale feathers are interesting.
They are really interesting birds. True tropical animals that just kept expanding their range. Even the name is a Brazilian word, from a tribe in the Amazon. The colors and patterns vary, females have soft brown ‘fuzzy’ neck feathers. They are also pretty brutal predators.
