Childsbury Towne, South Carolina existed from 1707 to 1750. Eventually the land was taken and added to the nearby Strawberry Plantation on the Cooper River.
I love your cemetery images the best, maybe not as much as the images of birds because your captures are always so stunning…but the cemetery images are just amazing
This is a special place. The small chapel here is of great historic significance and is privately owned…for 250 years. It took me 6 years to finally be allowed to photograph inside. Very protective of the site, and for good reason.

Exactly. The property is still in the hands of the families that built it in 1725. They take no government funding to keep control. A few services and pot luck lunches a year.
