Boynton House Visit

Boynton House Visit

The old Boynton house, a cattle farm, is being eaten by the surrounding trees and brush.  Big Live Oaks and the Spanish Moss will probably hide it completely by next summer.

It still is a beautiful house, even after being empty for 100+ years.

The property is about 4 miles down a dirt road, then a little less than a 1/2 mile down a dirt track.

When we stop by I usually shoot both B&W and color. These images were taken in a custom in-camera setup for .jpg monochrome.

  1. I want to photograph this, lol. What a great place for some photography Ted.

    Have you ever been inside?

    1. I stop by every once in a while, we drive the dirt road there going to marshes. Once I received an email from the original farmers great, great, grand daughter. That was very nice.

And yes, I have gone in. It was tricky but got some great shots, thanks for reminding me. They must still be in this site somewhere.

You can’t go on now, doors are sealed and the house is kept standing by the rangers…. They use it for the Bats to live in. Most have died of a disease, they want a place to help them come back. 😊😊😊
