Finished using DxO Filmpack. While it’s best known for the hundreds of film simulations another feature is renditions of well known photography studios from the present back through the early 1800’s.

It’s been a while since I’ve published one of these excited Snowy Egrets.
Nothing like one of these little guys in full attitude.

Another one of those times I’m not sure what made me spot him.
The Trumpet Vines here must be about 10 feet tall now. When the vine finds a place it likes there’s no holding it back. Somewhere in here I know there’s a Ribbon Snake too, I’ve seen him around and this is the best place for him to take up residence.
I know he’s here because Ellen was setting up the new connections to our WIFI, tested an old Nest Cam, and promptly placed on the floor in the back porch. Yeah, the snake found an open hole under the siding , slipped in, looked around, and went right back out. Ahhh country living.
So, back to the Anole here. He was up top, 10 feet or so, and I noticed him moving. The images are obviously cropped. I do love that 12-100 lens.

An adult Carolina Anole, heading up a tree. And why not? They climb on everything else.
They obviously have no fear of heights.
There’s a few large ponds in the old cemetery area, this was the Umbra Plantation land. There are hand made brick structures that were probably the base of an old bridge. When the water is low the Night Herons sit on them while looking for fish.
This Black-crown is a juvenile and could be his first year. The trees along the ponds are a small rookery for these birds. They look nothing like the adults, but they blend with the trees perfectly for their first 18 months. And they need it. There are hawks and eagles up above here, foxes, bobcats, and alligators down below.

When going out back it’s best to check all the plants and bushes. Even these, which are a few steps out the back door.
My guess is earlier this year some eggs were hidden in those planters. Now the next generation of entertainment is coming around.
