High Mill Stream, Wooden Bridge, Camera

At the end of this mill stream there actually is a mill. A working saw mill and water wheel. The stream is fed by a typical Maine pond (the size of an ocean) with several wooden bridges to pass over. A beautiful spot at the end of a dirt road.

At some point Ellen wandered off leaving me to watch the stream, and of course take shots of just about anything I saw.

Taken in Bradley Maine, at the Maine Logging Museum. An off the beaten path place great for photographers. There are some family ties here and we try to visit whenever we are up north.

Important Stuff, Found On A Walk

We have here a small engine, a wooden block, metal roof, all tied together on what looks like part of a truck bed.

Whatever it is I have no doubt it served a purpose, and worked well.

Very cool.

Maine Country Pond

A recent trip up north didn’t give us as much time for photography as we had hoped, however a camera was always nearby.

This pond gave me a chance to get out and look around for local critters, as well as give the resident mosquitoes a taste of the south.

To travel light I only had an Olympus 12-200, however with only a few exceptions it did the job.

A Christmas Duck

Merry Christmas to all. This year we were blessed with duck.

The famous Bangor Police Department ‘Duck Of Justice’.

Officer TC (Tim Cotton) took an old worn stuffed duck from a dumpster and introduced him to the Bangor PD interrogation room. He became the ‘Duck Of Justice’, fame followed and the rest is history.

Now 320,000 friends follow the day to day of the Bangor PD on Facebook.

The DOJ has a small glass case, in a special museum, in headquarters. Stars of TV, Film, Sports, and photography all visit the duck for a selfie… no really!  He has been on a US tour, and of course TV. Visitors are always welcome, you might even get cookies.

Above is the well known Quote Of Duck.

We have not seen our friend for a few years but my Sister in-Law and Brother in-Law reminded the DOJ to send along a Merry Christmas to the southern expats.

If you ever visit Facebook, go see TC and the DOJ. Enjoy a gentle and humorous face a being with the police in Bangor.

A Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all out there on the ‘interweb’.

This is part of the Sebec river as it runs through Milo. Three rivers meet here a little further on. The area is known as Three Rivers.
