Old Magnolia Cemetery, Black And White

We shoot this old cemetery often, no 2 sets come out the same. Magnolia is the resting place of signers of the Declaration Of Independence, poor confederate soldiers, and famous politicians. All mixed together in the ruin and mystery of Magnolia.

  1. I have enjoyed this series, Ted! Some may find it morbid, but I find cemeteries can hold some beautiful ornate stonework and statues, as well as being creepy, yet magical and mystical as you say. Lovely monotone work!

    1. Thanks. I love to photograph old cemeteries. I started in New England, they were older than the southern ones, but these have spreading trees, Spanish moss, and tales of wars. Even the ones I have shot in the EU don’t have the same mystical character.

    2. Some of the older churchyards with the Yew trees here with lichen covered monuments and headstones can be quite something, and I have taken a few images myself in the past.
