We are deep into the August doldrums. Hot, humid, and hungry mosquitoes. It’s time to make those trips to find new places to shoot in better weather.
Most times I don’t expect to capture many images, we are the only ones out in this sun. If we make short walks we find beautiful places that are now on the ‘revisit’ list.
Someone will always find ‘something’ to photograph.
The goal here was to find the dikes and dirt paths for future hikes. I did not walk far down this dike, much too warm. At least now I know it’s here even if I have no idea what’s on the other end.
Finding old dirt tracks that split like the ones above can mean they make a loop around the open marsh. Canals will run through the grasses. With all these acres of marsh wildlife is everywhere, but today they are smarter than us. They are hiding in the shade.
