I have written before about the affinity Roseate Spoonbills have with marsh branches and logs. Find a branch, it’s a game of ‘King Of The Hill’.

I was standing around the other day waiting for something to happen. It didn’t register with me right away, but something was happening.

The young juvenile ‘Clowns’ in pink were fishing and playing on the logs.
I missed the start of game but was able to shoot more than ‘a few’ as it progressed.
