After over 5,000 published articles it’s becoming difficult (almost impossible) to get new meaningful titles.
I’m sure this one has been used before yet it seems perfect for this series. The Lowcountry sky was at it’s best. The white birds were performing for their mates. Overall things fell into place nicely.

This series was taken as the Great Egret made his ascent to the new nest. His mate was waiting for the nesting materials and his return.

Like most large wading birds they fly low and climb upwards at the last moment. It’s a usual pattern, but still can be very dramatic.


Below the female made a loud greeting as her mate arrived.
