Charleston is a city of church spires. The skyline is a series of church buildings, and has been for at least 300 years.
Even with the fast growth here the height of construction is based on keeping this skyline (as best they can).
Many of the oldest churches in the US are here, the Circular Church on the right being one dating from the 1680’s (everything has been repaired at some point).
I have shot from this spot before, this time I took advantage of the clouds.
It is a beautiful skyline, nice to hear that new construction seems to respect it.
Borderline at best. Money will win over time unfortunately.
