Is this image a work art, hardly. However, it’s a good depiction of what can be seen out in a marshland.
This is on a dike separating two old rice fields, now gone back to marshes. The grasses grow high, thick, and green.
A Tricolored Heron took up residence on the boards of a trunk, the water gate.
Here is a scene, slice of time, not seen by many. There is nothing else even near here.

Note; ACE Basin is often referred to as ‘One of the last great places on earth’. Not sure who first penned the description but it has stuck over the years.
