I shot this at a distance with a long lens. I was killing time and spotted the Sunflower in high weeds.
Looking later I found the Katydid. Seems to be many of them around since Ellen just got a great closeup.

My friend Cindy, who is also my photography mentor, likes to call those “bonus bugs.” I am always amazed when I review my images to find things in the frame that I never saw when I was taking the photos.
Good description. Just left a friend who was talking of his ‘bonus’ yesterday. There was so much happening he looked at the background of his shots and found gators walking by, Herons eating 3 foot sirens, etc. I do love those ‘bonus’.
Wow. That is a super bonus as compared with a katydid. 🙂
