At 6:00 AM it was 80 degrees (26.6 C) with 100% humidity. Covid is surging so we have been being careful. Early morning by the swamps and marshes works well for us… no people. Heat was not important, until the sun came up.

We walked along the Ashley River near an old plantation. It’s a short river that flows past where we live and empties into Charleston Harbor.

I had other images, all with a huge wet fog spot center lens. Fog and humidity means always have a clear filter on any lens. You will be cleaning it off with your shirt tail.

I really like that top photo. There is nothing like early mornings on the water.
Thank you. It’s a bit tough in August, true tropical weather, but well worth it.
I see why you and Ellen keep going back there, Ted! Stunning, inspiring and so very beautiful. Superb images as always.
Thanks so much. There are three large plantations along here, the ruins of a fourth. All along the banks of this river. Miles to visit and see 😃.
Elegant!
Thanks 👍👍👍.
