I believe these birds were the last Cranes we found for the day. All were pairs feeding along the edge of the marsh.

I could see this pair from a long way off, we were on the same dike. Convinced they would fly off we just continued the same direction.

But no,  they stayed in the same spot. I tried to walk as far to the side as possible giving them space. Being Viera Wetlands Cranes they were good with that.

Cranes here wander into the high reeds if they want to escape.

Ultimately we passed by as they went about their business. A great place to photograph Cranes.
