I waited a while to get this ‘take off’. Probably too long since it was really busy and I missed a ton of other opportunities. Yet, if I turned away he was sure to jump immediately.
Finally the exit I waited for.
A different style than a Great Blue.
The funny thing here, he flew all of about 20 feet, probably could have jumped that far.
In the background here you can see Great Egrets. They nest in these more open trees, this Spoonbill was from the ‘Palm Tree’ neighborhood.
