As I was leaving a wildlife area, actually driving on a dike, I spotted this. I had to stop.
These two are not exactly on friendly terms. They tolerate each other during winter unless territory becomes an issue.
I guess neither of them wanted to claim the high fall reeds as their own.

So I haven’t been on WordPress in quite a while, but when I was I saw a bunch of your photographs and commented on a few. I was kayaking with a buddy of mine and took a picture of a bird(no idea what it is to be honest didn’t research it) and said to my friend “hey there’s this guy from WordPress that takes awesome pictures of birds and wildlife” 🤓 thought you might wanna know that your work is remembered 👍
Thanks so much, and that’s the whole idea of this site really. Wildlife and their environment is getting crushed. We live in one of the few ‘wild’ spots left. Share the info with no preaching, people will remember and help in some small way. (oh, I did preach a little here LOL).
