Once the Stork started to fly by I was sure he wasn’t going to drop down. All those sharp reeds would not feel too good.
I managed only a few shots before I lost focus with all those reeds. Once focus was gone there was no way to quickly get it back. The background was much too busy.
This was shot at a large marsh near our home. Wood Storks are not common here because of all these reeds. With Storks and Spoonbills right down the road we have made a point of walking all around the waters edge.
