White Ibis, Tall Sea Grass

White Ibis, Tall Sea Grass

I’ve always liked photographing white birds in this marsh grass. It can make a nice background to the bird. Unfortunately it rarely comes out the way I envision it.

These shot may be the exception. The grass was nice variations of green blending together. Almost giving the background a look of brush strokes.

The group was active giving us plenty of different opportunities.

  1. All four are gorgeous – but the last two, and especially the second-to-last, would make a stunning painting. There’s something really special about that tall grass, the clearly visible eyes, and that red beak – absolutely beautiful!

    1. Shocking but none at all. My long lens is a Leica, EFOV 200-800. Before I switched did a lot of research, knew others who had changed, shot around where I do, etc. (6 months neck braces, on the couch, plenty of research time). Nothing is ever perfect, but I get photos I never did with Canon.
