This is cut in a marsh where several lower areas meet, from different dikes, when the water is low. You can watch the locals fish along the edge, walking up and down the cuts length.

We had both Roseate Spoonbills and Wood Storks working the bottom mud for snacks. A few Alligators swam along quietly passing the birds.
No drama, a peaceful scene.
