This is the tallest structure in Charleston. It has been kept that way be city ordinance. Nothing can be built taller.
If you go outside the downtown area there are some buildings getting very close. I’m sure it’s only a matter of time until they allow hotels to exceed the limit.
Charleston is losing it’s soul to the tourist dollar. Just today someone from out of town asked what to see and do. There is still plenty to see, but less than just a few years ago. I don’t see how anyone could come for a weeks vacation anymore.
I’m sorry to hear that. But I think a photographer could find it easy to fill many many days (years) there which you and Ellen show us constantly 😊
I agree. Photographers have everything they need to be more than happy. Much is outside city limits but historical places are everywhere. My thoughts are about the family of 4 coming here for vacation. Soon we will have no support staff, Charleston is expensive, housing through the roof (small pun).
One would think I. Today’s world with the internet they could easily research and see if what is offered would entice them to then visit. If not, there’s always Disney World or Disney Land.
Everything online mostly shows things to entice a visit, besides every been to Disney World? Now that place can be painful !
