Something people don’t notice most of the time. But in old cemeteries these small solid buildings were well designed and hidden away. They are the ‘Receiving Tombs’.
Usually one of the first things torn down when space was needed in more modern times. There aren’t many left.

It doesn’t look so safe to go in there anymore, I think. I also saw a well with bricks on the left.
I think the bricks are more grave sites. As for going inside… not happening!

What happened with them? Did people get put there before burial?
It was a ‘holding’ building. Usually a short time since it’s too hot here 😵💫. They were even more. Omen up north where the ground was frozen half the year.
