All my previous work on the project has been from the land looking towards the water. Here is the opposite direction.
The pelicans preferred it this way too I think.

When we crossed the tracks here we found abandon gas stations. Not unheard of.
It was interesting that the empty gas stations were directly across the street from each other.
At some point there must have been enough traffic to support them. Now, both are empty, as well as the street.
Does a series like this make you uncomfortable? My style certainly doesn’t help. But when I take these photographs I am certainly focused on the ‘rust and ruin’.
