Something set them off and they all took to the air at the same time. It was deafening and amazing, there was at least a thousand taking off at the same time.
What makes this even more special are the mix of birds and how not that long ago this might never have happened.
Wood Storks were endangered and almost gone, Roseate Spoonbills would stay in Central / South America, and some Egrets were hunted to almost extinction.

Yet here they were, all together in front of my camera.
