I was waiting for him to start the ‘chase’ since another of the small Egrets was landing nearby. This one even started to raise the crest feathers a bit.
As the lens got heavy I grabbed a few shots before giving up.
It was a good choice. He turned and just walked away.
The shots after this were all traditional ‘bird butt’ images.

Beautiful series of my favorite bird, Snowy Egret and I also like the background, it’s nice and gentle.
The tide was low at the time. Oyster beds are right behind where these were taken.
