Looking down a large pond lined with southern Live Oaks.
This scene has all the pieces that make a classic southern image. There is a huge Live Oak with long streaming Spanish Moss. You can see the branches hang over low water, pink Roseate Spoonbills rest on a limb, even a tropical Anhinga sits in the upper right side of the tree.
This photograph had everything on a check list I could think of.

Excellent!
I’m trying to work with lighter gear and finding it’s fun combining landscape and wildlife images. Thank you 😁
I know the feeling – to bring the 100-400mm or not.
I have always used a 150-600 hand held. That and the large bag contributed to my neck breakdown. So…per every medical person involved no more heavy stuff even with the misc iron parts installed. 🤣
I have gone to my 18-400 walk around (this shot). Today I did some 100-400 but still a bit heavy. For my work 400 is a little short but I will make it work, thanks again.
