This adult will stop returning as often soon. They are much to large, and there are 3 of them.
Achillea
Achillea found in a park garden in Charleston. There were a few varieties of this smaller flower. I usually concentrate on single blossoms. It’s easier.
The plant was identified by Liz of Exploring Color in New Zealand. Liz, and her husband Nigel, are the experts I so badly need. Nigel is a Landscape Architect from GrowPlan . Liz manages Nigel so I know we are on the right track here.
Street Music, Ilford ASA 400 Film Filter
High contrast and structure adds some drama.
Glare And Reflections, Heron
Palm trees ! For the longest time I could not figure out what the left hand side reflections were. Columns, in a marsh ? But of course…Palm Trees.
Once you know it is easy to see them as trees.
Windows On Charleston
In an old city like Charleston each window has a story. Well, not all. But the ones worth looking at certainly do.
I always enjoy windows of the galleries that are all around town. The side windows highlight the treasures of the back rooms.
The plantings are on display almost all year round. Many of the boxes were built many years ago. You have these homes it is moral responsibility to care for the plantings.
Of course not all here are perfect. I should say not perfect ‘yet’. If an old building is not renovated now, it is currently in the process.
And one of the best is what I call the ‘southern’ window. Might be on the first floor, or above. But they are tall, floor to (not quite) ceiling. White trim of course.
My dog loves them. She doesn’t even need to stand to watch the world.
Lanner Falcon, Shot Portrait
The absolute wrong size for this site, unless you view this in full screen.
Egret, New Born
Tiny ball of white fluff in there.
Some Ole Time Music. Charleston, South Carolina
Finished with a sepia look for ‘the ole time’ look.
