The other day I turned my camera to the right as I walked out to a marsh. I see this exact scene often and don’t want to take it for granted.
If I look to far ahead I will miss the moment, and it is beautiful out there.

An image I can’t believe was forgotten. I do know Ellen (PassingByPhoto.com) took a similar shot. Maybe I saw hers on line.
Created to look like an old Agfa 400Â film. Higher contrast and structure.
The other day, after about 1/2 hour I was wondering where they had all gone. No Alligators at all.
The first of many for that afternoon. Hot and sunny, so nap time of course.
‘Good lookin fella’
Nothing subtle or low key about these birds.
Here the Egret was returning to the nest and making a loud announcement as he arrived.
It’s a wonder he didn’t plow right over his mate sitting on the nest.
Landscape is not something I photograph for black and white. Since the top is framed with branches and hanging moss there is no flat sky, which is why avoid shooting these.
Besides, I’m not big on structured and formal gardens (or most anything).
Again it looked to work here.
I believe this is a Mute Swan.
